Hey mi gente,
Welcome to your weekly dose of inspiration, via stories about identity, culture, victories, and successes in the Latinx community.
June is Pride Month - if you see any positive articles about LGBTQ pride within the Latinx community, please reply w/them here as I’m looking for stories to feature.🌈
P.S. I am going to be leading a panel conversation talking about How to Level Up as a Latinx professional, alongside other panelists from BuzzFeed, Facebook, Linkedin, Microsoft and Verizon Media. It’s a free event on June 13th at Microsoft’s offices in NYC - Sign up here. I also posted a flier with the panelists here.
Con cariño,
Elisabeth Rosario

3) Variety: 'Black Mirror' short promo films will star Latinx influencers
4) Associated Press: New PBS film showcases Mexican Americans' role in winemaking
5) HipLatina: An essay: How my mom helped me embrace my Afro-Latina beauty
6) Alternatino with Arturo Castro - Official Trailer
6) Alternatino with Arturo Castro - Official Trailer
Just found out there is a new show called “Alternatino” - a sketch show that follows Arturo Castro (“Broad City,” “Narcos”) as he attempts to navigate life as a modern millennial Latino man – whatever that means. According to Comedy Central, it will debut on June 18th. *I heard about this at long-time subscriber Noelia de la Cruz’s amazing HBO event last night*
